Our Story

Tri – County Water was founded in 1966 by Darwin Watts, Sr. in Leslie, MI. The company started out with the name Tri-County Water Conditioning and served Jackson, Ingham and Eaton Counties. Darwin turned the business over to his son, Jeff, in the early 1990’s.
      Today, Tri – County Water is owned by Daniel and David Watts, third-generation grandsons, and covers over 20 counties in West Michigan, Mid-Michigan and Northeast Indiana. Most recently, the company expanded its footprint to West Michigan with a location in Bronson in 2013 and a move to the Grand Rapids market in 2015.
