Our Story

History of EcoWater Systems of Mid-Missouri

Joel Mietzner started working for his dad at age 13 at his EcoWater dealership in Kankakee, IL. After Joel moved to Jefferson City, MO in 1983, he began working for Nelson Perry at the EcoWater location there as a service person. When the opportunity arose in 1998, Joel and his wife Pam purchased the Jefferson City location from the Perry’s. Also involved in the business is Joel’s son Adam who has worked at EcoWater since 2003.

In 2006, a bottling plant was added and additional employees in 2009 to handle the expansion of customers as the business continued to grow. Currently we have eight full time and one part time employee.

In May of 2012, the Mietzner’s decided to join forces with Linda Libert and purchased EcoWater Systems in Columbia, MO. Linda brought 23 years of sales and service experience and 1,200 plus customers. In 2015, the EcoWater dealer at the Lake of the Ozarks retired, and Joel was given the Lake territory as well.

This territory expansion as well as our centrally located office in Jefferson City allows us to effectively service all of Mid-Missouri.
