Our Story

Our History

We are a family-owned and family-operated business. We began in Peoria, Illinois in 1937 as the Sweney Brothers started a new type of service, soft water service, and Sweney Servisoft was born. In 1959, another water softener company arose in Peoria called Lindsay Soft Water. In 1989, these two companies merged, finally coming together to become EcoWater Systems. With subsequent additional mergers with the Galesburg, Bloomington and Springfield EcoWater Systems dealerships, we are proud to say we have become the largest water improvement company in Central Illinois. Our 75 plus year relationship with our manufacturer is as strong as our relationships with our customers, and we have tens of thousands of satisfied customers.
